How can I tell if an AliExpress sale is real?
Look at the price history, not the strikethrough. A genuine sale means the current price is actually at or near its lowest point over the past few months. If the price is about the same as usual and only the "original" price above it is high, the discount is inflated. Paste a link above to see the real 90-day history for any product we track.
Does AliExpress inflate original prices?
The crossed-out "original" price is set by the seller, not verified by AliExpress, so it can be raised right before a promotion to make the discount look bigger. That's why our verdict ignores the claimed discount entirely and looks only at how the real selling price has moved over time.
