What It Does

The App Stack tab scans any Shopify store's code to identify which apps are installed, giving you a blueprint of the tools powering successful stores.

Key Outputs

  • 200+ App Signatures — detects apps across marketing, reviews, upsells, email, SEO, analytics, and more by analyzing page source code
  • App Categories — detected apps are grouped by function (e.g., Email Marketing, Reviews & UGC, Upsell & Cross-sell, Analytics, Shipping)
  • App Store Links — each detected app includes a direct link to its Shopify App Store listing for quick installation
  • Confidence Level — each detection shows a confidence indicator (high, medium) based on the strength of the signature match

How to Use It

  1. Visit any Shopify store
  2. Switch to the App Stack tab
  3. Wait while the scanner analyzes the page source (takes 2-3 seconds)
  4. Browse detected apps by category
  5. Click any app name to open its Shopify App Store listing
  6. Compare multiple stores to identify common app patterns in your niche

Knowing which apps successful stores use is a shortcut to building your own tech stack. If five competing stores all use the same review app or upsell tool, that is a strong signal to adopt it. Focus on apps in the Reviews, Email Marketing, and Upsell categories first — these have the highest revenue impact.
