How to Use AliExpress Product Tracker (2026)

Daniel NguyenSeptember 22, 20267 min readLast updated: October 7, 2026

Quick answer: AliShopping Product Tracker lets you save any AliExpress product and monitor its real price, order count, stock level, and rating over time — up to 180 days. Install the free Chrome extension, click Track on any product page, and the tracker records data points so you can see whether a "70% off" deal is genuine or just an inflated anchor price. Free plan tracks up to 20 products.

What Product Tracker Does

AliExpress does not offer native price history or sales tracking. When you see a product listed at "$3.99 — 78% off," there is no way to verify that claim inside AliExpress itself. The strikethrough "original price" is set by the seller and can be changed at any time.

Product Tracker solves this by recording real data over time. When you add a product to your tracker, the extension begins capturing six data points:

  1. Price — the actual current selling price (not the strikethrough).
  2. Order count — total orders placed, tracked over time to show velocity.
  3. Stock level — how many units are available, useful for spotting products running low.
  4. Rating — the product's star rating, tracked for changes.
  5. Price change — how the price has moved since you started tracking.
  6. Order velocity — how fast new orders are coming in, indicating demand direction.

The tracker stores up to 180 days of data per product, giving you a long enough window to see through seasonal promotions, flash sales, and price manipulation.

How to Set Up Product Tracker

Step 1: Install the Extension

Go to the Chrome Web Store and install AliShopping Tools. Product Tracker is built into the extension — there is no separate app or installation.

Step 2: Start Tracking a Product

Open any AliExpress product page. The AliShopping analysis panel appears automatically. Click the Track button to add the product to your tracker list. That is it — tracking begins immediately.

Step 3: Add More Products

Repeat for any products you want to monitor. The free plan supports up to 20 tracked products at a time. Visit different product pages and click Track on each one.

Step 4: View Your Dashboard

Open the AliShopping extension panel or visit astools.app to see all your tracked products in one place. Each product shows its current price, price change since tracking started, order count, and other recorded metrics.

Reading the Dashboard

The tracker dashboard shows each product as a card with key metrics at a glance:

MetricWhat It Tells You
Current priceWhat the product costs right now
Price changeHow much the price has moved (up or down) since you started tracking
OrdersTotal order count and recent order velocity
StockCurrent available units — useful for spotting products selling out
RatingCurrent star rating and whether it has changed
Days trackedHow long the product has been in your tracker

The most actionable metric is the price change combined with the price chart. If a product claims "Summer Sale — 75% off" but the tracker shows the price has been flat for 60 days, the discount is manufactured.

Use Cases

For Buyers: Time Your Purchases

Track products you are interested in but not ready to buy. When the tracker shows a genuine price drop — not a fake anchor inflation — you know the sale is real.

This is especially useful during major AliExpress events:

  • 11.11 Global Shopping Festival — sellers inflate prices weeks before, then "discount" back to normal. The tracker exposes this.
  • Summer Sale — same pattern. Real discounts exist but are mixed in with manufactured ones.
  • Brand-specific promotions — some sellers run legitimate clearance sales. The tracker confirms which ones are genuine.

For Dropshippers: Find Winning Products

Product sourcing requires knowing not just the current price, but price stability and demand direction. The tracker helps you:

  • Identify stable-cost products — products where the sourcing price has been consistent for 60+ days, meaning your margins are predictable.
  • Spot trending products — rising order velocity indicates growing demand. Combine this with the Winning Score for a complete evaluation.
  • Avoid declining products — falling order velocity and price cuts signal a product past its peak. Do not invest in marketing for a product on the way down.

For Affiliate Marketers: Promote Real Deals

If you promote AliExpress products to your audience, recommending fake discounts destroys trust. The tracker lets you verify that a deal is genuine before you share it.

Tracker Limits and Plans

FeatureFree Plan
Tracked productsUp to 20
Data retention180 days per product
Data pointsPrice, orders, stock, rating, changes, velocity
Account requiredNo (basic tracking)

Product Tracker is currently in free beta. The 20-product limit and 180-day retention apply to the free tier.

Troubleshooting

The Track button is not appearing on a product page. Verify that the AliShopping Tools extension is enabled in Chrome. Click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and check that AliShopping is toggled on. Refresh the AliExpress page.

I added a product but the price chart is empty. The tracker begins recording from the moment you add the product. Historical data before that point is not available through the tracker — use the 90-day price chart in the AliShopping analysis panel for pre-tracking history.

A product I was tracking disappeared from my list. If a product listing is removed by the seller or taken down by AliExpress, it may no longer appear in your tracker. The data is retained for the 180-day period but the product page itself may return a 404.

Can I track products on mobile? Chrome extensions work only on desktop Chrome. There is no mobile version of the tracker at this time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many products can I track for free?

The free plan supports up to 20 tracked products simultaneously. You can remove a product from your tracker to free up a slot for a new one.

How long does the tracker keep data?

Product Tracker retains data for up to 180 days per product from the date you start tracking it.

Is the price history in the tracker accurate?

The tracker records the actual listed selling price at each data collection point — not the strikethrough "original" price that sellers can manipulate. The data reflects what the product actually costs when the tracker checks it.

Does Product Tracker send price drop notifications?

The tracker records data that you can check in the dashboard. Check the extension panel or astools.app periodically to see price movement on your tracked products.

Can I export my tracking data?

The tracking data is accessible through the AliShopping extension panel and the astools.app dashboard. Export functionality depends on your plan level.

What is the difference between the tracker and the 90-day price chart?

The 90-day price chart appears on every product page automatically and shows historical price data for the past 90 days — even for products you have never tracked. Product Tracker, on the other hand, starts recording from the moment you add a product and tracks additional data points (orders, stock, rating) for up to 180 days. They complement each other: use the price chart for instant historical context, and the tracker for ongoing monitoring with richer data.

Does tracking a product affect my AliExpress account?

No. The tracker collects data from public product listing pages. It does not interact with your AliExpress account, place orders, or modify anything.

Can I track products from other platforms besides AliExpress?

Product Tracker currently works exclusively with AliExpress product listings.

What happens when I reach the 20-product limit?

You will need to remove one or more products from your tracker before adding new ones. Removing a product clears its slot immediately.

Quick answers

Frequently Asked Questions

1

What is the AliShopping Product Tracker?

The AliShopping Product Tracker monitors any AliExpress product's price, order volume, stock level, and rating for up to 180 days.

It records the real price baseline so you can see whether a current 'sale' price is a genuine discount or just a temporary reduction from an inflated reference price.

It is accessible via the AliShopping Chrome extension on any AliExpress product page.

2

How do I start tracking an AliExpress product's price?

Open the AliExpress product page with the AliShopping extension installed.

Click the extension icon and navigate to the Product Tracker tab.

Click 'Track This Product.' The tracker begins recording price, sales, and stock data from that point forward.

You can view the tracked history at any time from the extension's dashboard or the AliShopping website.

3

How do I know if an AliExpress price drop is real?

A genuine price drop shows a current price below the product's 90-day average baseline in the tracker history chart.

A fake discount shows the current 'sale' price at or above the price the product was selling for 1–2 months ago — the seller raised the reference price temporarily to make the sale look bigger.

Always compare the current price to the 90-day baseline, not just the listed 'original' price.

4

Can I track AliExpress product prices without a paid subscription?

Yes.

The AliShopping Product Tracker is available on the free plan for a limited number of tracked products.

The free tier lets you verify price history on products you're actively considering buying or sourcing.

The paid plan extends tracking to more products simultaneously with longer history windows, which is more useful for dropshipping product research at scale.

5

Does the Product Tracker work for dropshipping research?

Yes — the Product Tracker is especially valuable for dropshipping.

Tracking a product's order velocity (orders per month over 3–6 months) tells you whether demand is growing, stable, or declining.

Price stability signals a reliable supply chain.

Combine the tracker data with the Winning Score and supplier Trust Score to make confident sourcing decisions before investing in ads.
